Women veterans advocate, author, humanitarian, and mother comes from a long line of military family members. Her father is an honorably discharged Vietnam Navy veteran. Tara, A Gulf War Era veteran, worked for VA medical center San Diego,California, as the only administrative legal tort. During her employment she was assigned to the only 2-year pilot program in the country for My HealtheVet implementation. She also was assigned Social Security integration for veterans through the Computerized Patient Record System, also known as (CPRS). Tara helped with the electronic integration of the Department of Defense and Veteran Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization program for all military personnel into the Veteran Affairs healthcare system. She championed health record privacy to the state and federal agencies for unauthorized access violations. This program is noted to have cost the government on average between $16.1 billion and $50 billion dollars. In June 2011, she obtained a master’s degree in business with special emphasis in organizational leadership and human resource management. Tara is the intellectual property, brainchild, visionary, and founder of the National Women Veterans Association of America, a California based nonprofit. She also was one of the last women in an all women bootcamp company. Tara currently resides in Southern California with her immediate family. In 2026 Jones received a Doctor of Theology from Next Dimension University.
