  • San Diego County Veterans Service Officer for eleven years and four months. Led  the most active veterans service office in California.  Resulted in $42 million generated on a yearly basis for the Counties veterans.
  • Member of the founding committee of Miramar National Cemetery
  • Co-Founder of the San Diego Veterans Coalition which grew from 6 to 130 members of supporters for veterans and their families in San Diego County. Influenced the distribution of $400K of California Prevention/Intervention funding to needed veteran programs. A model for the rest of the Nation.
  • Involved and actively participated in veterans affairs of San Diego County for 16 years as Ex. Director/CEO of the Veterans Museum and Memorial Center and the County Veterans Service Officer.
  • President of the California Association of County Veterans Service Offers for two years from 2007-2009.
  • President of the California Association of County Veterans Service Offers for two years from 2007-2009.
  • President of the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers (NACVSO) for two years from 2012-2014 (1850 members)
    • Negotiated MoA’s with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the National Association of Counties (NACo)
  • Recognized nationally, statewide and locally as a veterans advocate and a leader in the veterans movement.
  • Partnered with the California Department of Veterans Affairs for eleven (11) years on veterans issues.
