The San Diego Veteran and Family Wellness Strategy

The San Diego Veteran and Family Wellness Strategy is a collaborative project of the San Diego Veterans Coalition (SDVC) and the San Diego Military Family Collaborative (SDMFC). To learn more about the Community Conversations and read the report click here.

Applying for VA Survivor Benefits

The VA has created a video to walk through the process for completing VA Form 21-534EZ, the application for receiving survivor benefits.

San Diego 2-1-1 is a non-profit organization operating 24/7/365. They provide free, confidential information and access to health, social, community, and disaster services.
Vets' Community Connections
Vets’ Community Connections facilitates the transition to life as a civilian in the region by providing a network bridging the community, education, and professional development.
Federal VA
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ website provides resources for accessing your benefits, including healthcare, education, and disability.
California VA (CalVet)
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) provides resources for veterans in the state of California.
San Diego Veterans Service Office
The county of San Diego also provides resources, including assistance in networking with federal, state, and local agencies as well as benefits counseling to provide information on available services.

ABOUT US
The San Diego Veterans Coalition was organized in 2009 and incorporated as a non-profit on May 24, 2011. Using the Collective Impact Model, SDVC is a premier San Diego County-wide monthly convener of over 150 unique member and participating organizations, businesses, and agencies, as well as convening many of that body in our four action groups, and other activities and events.
