MEETING MINUTES

  1. Comments from Co-Champion Vic Martin (vic.martin@sdvetscoalition.org)
    1. SDVC is facilitating on-and-off base transition and reintegration training, to active-duty service members throughout Southern California. This is only possible because of our community partners – such as Courage to Call, Work for Warriors, USS Midway, Reboot Workshops, San Diego County Office of Military and Veteran Affairs, and all of you!  Thank you!  We have many workshops scheduled, so if you know a service member who is transitioning out of the military within the next two years, please send them our way!
    1. SDVC is proud to be an ETS / Onward Ops Regional Coordinator.  We need community sponsors to sponsor active duty service members who need your support reintegrating into their community.
      1. Commitment:  Attend a one-day sponsor training facilitated by the Veterans Administration. Then communicate virtually or telephonically with your service member once a month for about six months to determine what support they need as they are transitioning into YOUR community.
